Popular Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale has gone viral for kneeling before former President John Dramani Mahama to seek forgiveness for past misunderstandings

The circulating clip captured the danchehall artist holding the ex president John Mahama’s hand while expressing deep gratitude for the significant role the former president played in his life.

In the video sighted below, Shatta wale kneels at Mahama’s feet, who is seated in a chair, and earnestly asks for forgiveness.

He reflects on their relationship, stating, “I don’t want to begrudge you because it was through you that I secured my first house.” This acknowledgment of Mahama’s impact on his life showcases the respect Shatta has for the former president.

In response, Mahama reassured Shatta, saying, “Oh Shatta, there is nothing. You are my son; there is no issue.”

He emphasized that he would continue to support Shatta, even offering to help with any communication problems the artist might have encountered, saying, “If you call and he doesn’t pick up, it means he was peeved. Don’t worry, I will talk to him.”

Grateful for the former president’s understanding, Shatta responded, “I know, sir, thank you. Through you, I got my first house, so I don’t want to offend you. I have been calling him, but he doesn’t pick up the calls. I just wanted to engage you.”
